I have 2 year old male mountain dog mix. He always has his mouth open. I have really never seen him with closed mouth. This is my first dog so i don’t have much knowledege of dogs, but i assume he can breathe from his nose too.

I know sometimes there is need for dogs to pant or breathe heavy after some activity or similar thing but even when he is relaxed and just sitting home, he would still have open mouth.

Thats My dog he is about 3 months old mini foxi and i pick him up and he bites me im siting on the couch he bites me i think he is teething what should i do?

First i would like to say, my dog was diagnosed with ibd 2 weeks ago, and she felt a lot better after giving her medication from the vet and changing her diet to hills’ prescription d/d diet for dogs with ibd. She seemed to be doign well, until a few days ago she fell down the stairs and started to walk weird, her two hind legs seemed to give in. The morning after i brought my dog to the vet and he did a thorough examination on her legs, only to end up doign an xray. There he showed me that Mini had spinal arthritis based on the xray. He gave me glucosamine to prevent other joints to become inflammed. And no more stairs for my dog or too much activity. Mind you she’s a 6 year old min pinch chihuahua cross. So it’s pretty rare for her.

I was wondering if she has enteropathic arthritis then? And if she has that does that mean it’d go away?!

I have a jack russel and he is still a puppy. I also have a black lab and she is like 11 years old. My puppy eats his puppy chow but pukes it up then eats my lab’s senior food and is just fine. Is that a problem?

First of, I know Shih Tzu adults are pretty low energy kinds of dogs usually, but I just had to ask. When I got my little guy as a puppy, he was just this little fluffball full of energy. As he has gotten a little older and got out of the puppy stage, you could tell he slowed down a bit. But now, he’s just a lazy little boy. Used to be whenever I had him the in the car, the minute we stopped and I unhooked his harness, he was on my lap and ready to jump out the door as soon as I opened it. Nowdays, when I do that, he jumps on my lap and lays down. Even when the door is opened he just looks down at the ground and doesn’t make a move. He is by FAR not old, he’ll turn 2 at the end of the month, but he’s become lazy like this a lot more over the past few months. So, how lazy did your dog become once he got out of the puppy stage?
He still gets a ton of exercise per day, so do you think maybe he’s just tired by the time I come to pick him up from work?
He’s pretty mellow actually on the weekends, but my friend swears he never stops running at her house. So, yeah, it’s probably because he’s just exhausted from running all day. Thanks.

He’s such a good dog, and so loving, is SOO good w/ kids, but when it comes to his crate he has a CONNIPTION. I just had to buy him ANOTHER METAL kennel because he destroyed his other one in less than 3 hours. I just wish I knew what to do to make him comfortable in his kennel!!
