we’ve had the labs for years but our new addition is a 3 yr old blue tic beagle they are separated now and they fight through the gate that’s between them. the beagle has never lived w/ other dogs and wants to be the alpha dog but it ain’t gonna happen, hes gonna get his face torn off. but i want to bring them together. HOW?
I did a search online and came up with different answers. One said that puppy food is good for the 1st 2 months, but after that it’s bad because it can have too much suppliments, thus making it easier to develope bone and calcium problems…but another site said it’s best for the 1st year, sometimes the 1st 2 years! Help!

My dog is 13 years old about 65 lbs. Hound dog mix. She needs some good Arthritis Care. I saw some thing called NZYMES®. Does anyone know if that is any good? Or any other Natural or good OTC product?

Is it possible to train doberman to be like Golden Retriever ? Or they will be always have characteristic to be guard dog. I don`t need guard dog, I can protect my self.
I’ve had a week Saturday. He’s 6 1/2 months old. He’s very energetic we go for 30 minute walks in the morning and afternoon. I already plan to enroll him in earthdog trials. He’s very intelligent and needs loads of mental stimulation. He’s also plays with my other dog a border terrier who is almost 1 year old. I guess my question is how else can i meet his mental stimulation needs? Like i said he’s very active and intelligent!
Can i ask who believes or makes these statements?
I think anyone who knows a bit about dogs knows full well not everydog will operate as a guard dog push come to shove.
Infact most guard dog breeds will not even guard come to the crunch.
Does anyone else find this advice dangerous and annoying?
Every time I take out the leash to take her for a walk she runs and hides. I have had her since she has been 6 weeks old, so nothing traumatic has happened to her with a leash. I have taken her every where with me since I first got her, I’ve taken her to work with me, to the park, on walks to the dog park and all the fun places a dog would want to go. The only thing I can think of is that she still doesn’t like to go for car rides and may she associates the leash with the car ride. Lately I have just been taking her for walks around the block and not have her get in the car but she still has not associated the leash with a nice walk. Once she is on the leash she is fine and enjoys all her outdoor activities. It’s just the initial getting out the leash and having to chase her around the house to put it on. Any suggestions on how I can get her not to be afraid of it? Same goes for her harness too, doesn’t like me to put that on either.
i have a gsd bitch pup that is 12 weeks old. she is nice around me and does not nip me. i have a 4 year old king charles spaniel also but cassie ( my gsd) keeps nipping and biting misty(king charles) especially around the neck. im worried that cassie might end up injuring her. is this a sign of aggression or just play? she has not started dog training yet but she wil be starting soon. hope you can help!
