I have a bad habit of chewing on my lips and my toungue. Whenever I try to stop chewing on my lips, I will do it anyway. If I manage to not chew on my lips, I tend to chew on my toungue. It’s really annoying, and it makes my teeth feel funny. How can I stop this?

I know that I should adopt a pet, but because of my allergies to dogs, I have to be very careful, the dog I get can have traces of certain breeds, or I won’t be able to keep it.
ALSO, I know that a cockapoo is a Mutt and some people on this service are very against mixed breeds, I am not intrested in your extreme opinions. Because of my allergies, I don’t have a lot of choices in terms of breeds that I am compatable with. Thank you.
GEG – you were actully the person whose opinion I was asking not to recieve. I understand how you feel, but I know, because I lived with a cockapoo for a while, I am not allergic to them. It is possible that some people are. It is my personal choice to have a cockapoo and love it if I want.
I am allergic to the saliva, I think the coat doesn’t have any living proteins, so it’s possible, I think that no one is actully ever allergic to a dogs coat
I’m not allergic to cockers either, there are several breeds that I am ok with health wise. Who cares if the dog I want is a Mutt, I’m a mutt, english, irish, dutch and some other things… what is with all the dog natzis, pure blood… who cares?

Newly rescued bulldog loves playing fetch, kinda. He loves chasing after the ball, then walks back halfway very very slowly. Sometimes he just chases after it and stops once he gets there.
The other problem is he hates to give the ball back. I started encouraging him back to me (by running away from him), then making him sit down and demanding the ball from him. Most of the time I’ve had to pretty much take it out of his mouth, but lately I’ve started to treat him in exchange for the ball. It’s still hard to get it off him, and he still sometimes grabs it.
Any tips on how to get him to fetch, and how to get him to give it back more willingly, and be less aggressive around the tennis ball?

I’m trying to teach or train a husky- german shepard mix pup2mos, old. I know that’s young, but I figure if I start trying now on simple things that it is better than waiting or putting it off until he won’t understand any commands. His mom, german shepard, was so easy to teach everything, but his dad, husky, oooh my gosh.He was so hyper, he would’nt be still to listen to anything.

My dad said I could get a puppy when it gets warmer because it is too cold for it to house break. From what I hear it’s easier to house break the puppy in the winter because you have to wait in the cold until it pees or poos and the longer the puppy waits the colder it gets. How can I convince my dad to get a puppy now?

We have a lab/Rottweiler something mix that we rescued as a puppy that we trained to a crate. He grew significantly more than we expected (115 Lbs at 18 months) Now he struggles to fit in his crate at night, so my parents decided the easiest thing to do is to train him away from a crate. But I’m pretty sure it’ll be hard on the dog since we taught him about the crate being his "safe place" etc. Whats your take on this situation?
