My husband and I recently adopted a rescued spayed female 2 year old rescued great dane. We are wanting to do some training the closest obedience classes is 60 miles away at petsmart. There is also a trainer that takes them for 2 weeks and uses the dog whisper methods then works with you when you pick the dog up about the same distance away. I am just wanted to know which method works better and the pros and cons of both. Thanks

I am adopting a 12 week old puppy that just got over a terrible case of parvo. She is improving greatly, but I’m worried about contamination to other dogs.
She is currently at a shelter volunteers house and will be coming home in about 2 weeks. I’m wondering if even though she has been spared by this disease if it’s still possible for her to spread it to other dogs even if she is in a new, completely sterile environment? Can she "carry" the disease even though she is cured of it?

I would like to know what brand and where to buy dog treats the size of a kibble? I see dog training videos and there dog treats is the size of a piece of kibble. I don’t want to use my dog’s dog food because I think he might get tired of it.
Thanks

I have a Jack Russel, he is 7 months old! When I bring him for walks and he sees another dog no matter how far or close it is he goes absolutely ballistic! He is no way aggressive he just barks like crazy! If I let him sniff the other dog he whimpers and hides behind my legs because he is scared.. How do I get him to stop barking at other dogs?
Thank you
xx

Before we had her spayed, she was great about using her wee wee pad. Now, a week after her surgery, she feels the need to crap wherever. She pees on the pad, but wont go "number 2" on them. I have found poo all over the place and its really frustrating me. Is this common for dogs to do after they have been spayed? Any suggestions? I REALLY dont want to start over with the potty training, but it looks like I may have to.
HELP!

I am getting a border collie puppy this summer when i visit my grandmother, and since i have to fly home with him, I need to know what size crate to get. I already have a crate for when he is grown, but i will need one that fits him as a puppy when we fly home. He should be around 10-12 weeks old then. Does anyone know how about big he will be at that time?
Thanks ahead of time!

Meat is very expensive where I live. I can easily buy it for my family but it becomes costly when I add up two meals a day for three dogs. To offset the cost a bit I was wondering if it would be okay to feed a highly quality, grain free dog food in the am and raw food at night. Would this upset their stomachs too much?
