Make sure you correct the dog when peeing in the house and then take them back outside so they know that is were they are spossed to go.
try this website its all about training puppies
Well once you’re outside you need to say what she has to do. Let’s go potty, come on!!! You have wait too.. Like ten minutes.. if its a short amount of time you’re just rushing them, she’s new to it. If she still pees inside, lOok at her and say no, bad. and rush her back outside. Dogs have a all bladder so take her out every half hour. After she eats, drinks.. Wakes up..
Great book: HOW TO HOUSEBREAK YOUR DOG IN SEVEN DAYS. The author is Shirlee Kalstone. The book costs $7.99 plus the mailing method of your choice. It is a slim volume, easy to read and understand. It explains everything you need to know and tells you how to do it. If you can read and follow printed instructions, this will work for you. It is the definitive guide to crate training.
Your first mistake was to bring the dog indoors after it did nothing but lie down in the grass. You have to stay out there with the puppy until it does what it is out there for. Walk it around and around. Encourage it to sniff. Pet, praise and treat desired behavior. Be patient and stay with it.
Leash and other training instruction can be found, free, at YouTube. Watch the Kikopup videos. They really are wonderful. They are clicker training videos. You can buy clickers cheaply online in many places. Try http://www.dogwise.com (Dogwise) or http://www.clickertraining.com.
You should also seriously consider getting your large breed mix puppy into Sirius Puppy Classes, which you can locate online. Get the Sirius Puppy video, too. You will be so glad you went to puppy classes with your dog. Your puppy will learn off leash to sit, stand, lie down, stay, come when called, and also to walk without pulling on the leash. Most Sirius classes give you the option of teaching your puppy any two tricks you like, as well. With the dvd, the pup can learn the names of family members as well as commands such as "go to Mom," to STOP puppy mouthing and biting, and make the dog welcome people around its food bowl (and MORE).
The Sirius classes are fun for you and the dog. Your whole family can go and you can bring your friends, too. Puppies can start at age 12 weeks, so enroll now.
