I adopted my dog less than a year ago and he is 4. He bites his paws and tail until it bleeds and i know this is a really bad habit. I’ve tried distracting him but that only works occasionally. I’m also thinking of getting him a cone collar but are there any suggestions?
My dog never bites but when my friends and I get excited about something or someone moves towards me quickly he bites them. How do I get him to stop biting them when this happens? I don’t want him to think biting is okay, ever.
My dog is a spayed female. She is very sweet and friendly and loves meeting other people and dogs. However, she often snaps at me. She loves to bark and she’ll sit at the window and bark at anything that passes by. When I try to push her away she’ll snap hard. Then a few minutes later she’ll be all sad and guilty-looking. whenever i invite someone over to my house i have to lock my dog in another room because my dog has a strange behavior. whenever my dog meets someone who comes to my home, he sniffs them for a moment and then bites them in the wanker. its not a hard bite as if the dog was angry, but a play-bite however this is still enough to make guests to my house uncomfortable. how can i get my dog to stop doing this?
My dog likes to bite for attention and while he is playin he doesnt break the skin but i know one day it will happen.and this worries me. i’ve been working on this but he is such a stubborn dog and he still wants to play while im trying to correct him. Any suggestions
My mom and I were out jogging about a mile away from our house when a Pit-bull came up and started barking at us. It charged directly at my mom and bit her, she had to get 16 stitches. I fell directly in front of it, I was trying to get it away from her, but it just went around me. I’m finally able to go jogging again without being too afraid, but it would be nice to know if mace will keep the dog from biting me, or allow me time to get away from it.
My dog is one year old. And just lately he has been biting/licking his paws. I am afraid he will lick them until they are raw. And I know for a fact he does not have fleas because he takes flea pills. I don’t know why he is doing this. Any ideas?
My dog always gets things that he supoosed not to have and when my mother tries to get them from him he will bite her hand so hard it bleeds. I even tried and he growls at me and wants to bite me also I even tried my verbal commands he ingores them it is still too late for my dog to be trained on this I want to take him to a professional trainer
I have an 11 month jack russell terrier and he likes to nip at my 5 year old daughter hands and feet. we’ve had the dog for two months and he’s a great dog and we succeed in potty training but if he doesn’t stop biting i may have to take him back to the anti cruelty society. dose any one have any training tips i could use to stop our dog from biting.
I was somewhere & My friend had a dog & it just bit me then this guy that I liked was there & He was talking to her. Id like to know what it means. & I saw the bite marks with some blood on my wrist.
