I have a 3 1/2 year old maltese. When she wants to play she likes to start biting. Even while we play with her she likes to bite. I don’t want her to go near little kids and start biting them. Her bites really do hurt. She’ll chase after us while we are just walking in the house and start biting our ankles to tell us she wants to play. I have numerous bite marks from her little teeth. How can we teach her that biting is wrong? Is it because she is teething?

hey guys i have a dog and he keeps biting himself every where and also scratching a lot he’s now ,well i noticed he’s looking like he’s loosing a little bit of hair :/ and we put that medicine for fleas and he still scratches the same what does he have and what do i do?

yhere also was a large sign saying beware of dog and the latch for the gate is on the inside.so he would of had to reach over to unlatch

I live in a small town where everyone leaves their dogs out on a road that has a lot of traffic, and my dog chases cars. I worry about his safety. my dog has started being very territorial. Whenever my dad isn’t home he bites(MEN ONLY). And he fights with other male dogs. We need to get rid of him but would a dog shelter take him?? Or should we do the dreaded and put him down?

My dog is about 7 months now. He has many chew toys but he likes to bite on people’s fingers. I thought he was teething but he can get very rough. He thinks he is playing but really I want to teach him that biting is wrong!

Suppose you’re walking along not bothering anyone, minding your business and someone’s small breed dog (That’s leashless by the way) comes up and begins biting you on the leg for no apparent reason. Would you have the right to smack this animal to attempt to stop it from biting you or should you merely try and remove it/get it off, get the owners attention if they are nearby etc?

I have a 7 mo. old Shistzu dog. He as a loveable sweet little thing until you have to remove a foreign object from his mouth, like a piece of paper or something that shouldn’t be there. When you go to remove the object, he will bite you hard sometimes bringing the blood. How do we remove the object from his mouth without the aggression? If let alone, he will swallow the item.
