hey, I got some rawhide from someone who wanted to make drum heads with it.What do I do with it? how do use it

Can I further process the rawhide into leather using botanical tanning procedures? Any pointers on how to do this?
What other uses are there for rawhide other than lampshades, drum heads and water tight bags? Any good websites with rawhide uses and or patterns?

we use to cut it in strings and braid them together and make braclets and necklaces with,,,but I do not know of a web site,,,If u have enough,,make a tee-pee.
