How old is your dog? I ran into a lady a couple weeks ago that had Yorkie's and we started talking about her (my dog's) crazy hair. She told me that as 'teens' they go through a 'wild' stage with their hair, but once they get their adult coat, it will be 'beautiful'. That's what she told me and she said she had 3 Yorke's at home, I hope she's right because my dog is 6 months old and looks unbrushed about 2 minutes after I spend an hour brushing her! :-) I have a Yorkie and have the same problem. You should do this more often in the summer months. Also try bathing him in a conditioning dog shampoo. Keep in mind this type of breed will always have a "scruffy" look, but with professional stripping his coat will be more managable!
