How to get my dog to stop biting me and my other dog?

I just recently adopted a 5 mo old german shepard/lab mix. He’s a sweetheart, and wicked smart, but I’m at a loss as to how to stop this biting. Especially when he bites my other dog, a 3 yr old mutt. Do I just let them duke it out, or should I intervene?

My parents had a shepherd/lab mix that was considered snappy.
They tried everything to correct him of this..
One day….he snapped at my husband and clamped down on his finger.
I know it sounds mean…but my husband literally flicked the dog on the nose with his finger…..VOILA! he was NEVER snappy again TO ANYONE.
This may sound really strange and you may feel weird doing it because I know I did but it worked. My puppy class teacher told us that when our puppy starts to nip or bite at you yell really loud OUCH in a high pitch voice. It took my puppy about 3 days of me yelling ouch loud for him to understand that it isn’t okay. You can do this for yourself and your other dog. At first you feel silly but the pay off is really fabulous.
i had the same problem with my dog all u have to do is give them a chew toy or bone or somtin he relli liks to chew on bsides u
You have to keep saying "ouch", pulling away - ignore him if you have to until he learns that you withdraw your attention from him when he bites. At 5 months, he’s likely just finishing teething and this stage will pass if you consistently let him know it’s not acceptable.
As for him biting your other dog, is he playing? Puppies play with each other by biting and if that’s what he’s doing with your 3 year old and it’s not serious aggression, but just play, you need to let them work it out. You should only interfere if it gets serious. They’re going to be establishing their order in the pack soon so to help things along you might want to get the puppy neutered if he’s not already.
Well intervening is not good. Young dogs teethe my dog did that and he chewed our tables and everything you can think of. let your 3 year old duke it out with the dog. Never intervene in Pack order unless the younger dog is winning. It is the pecking order that they usually fight about. Like wolves they need to know who is at the top and who at the bottom. Hope this helps. TO stop teething pour sour apple or lemon juice on the places where you don’t want teething.
i think u should intervene. i would do is to get a leash on your new dog and from there go to the dog it is bitten and if it goes to snap pull it away and say no!! bite. and from there keep doing the same thing or get a dog toy that is NOT squeaky and put food inside so that it plays with that and not your other dog getting bitten.
You should definitely intervene. Your the pack leader and you must take control. Search ceasar millan the dog whisperer. His methods absolutely work. His show is on the national geographics channel.
