What's the problem again with dog walking services?

I have come across a few questions on here about dog walking service questions. Even though I always mention that I walk my dog each mornings and evenings and I use the service to give my dog a mid-day break…….I am bombarded with thumbs down.
So, what is it? am I missing something?

First of all, you are to be commended on getting a dog walker to give your dog a mid day walk. Most people just let their dogs in the house all day to hold it. Don’t listen to ppl on here. Most are very judgemental and really, who cares what they think? You don’t even know these people. They could be a bunch of idiots here. You are doing fine by your dog and no, you are not missing anything. We are all on here and sometimes we get think we actually know the people on here but we don’t. Some on here could be mass murderers or child molesters etc. Just do what you think is right.
On some people’s minds if you use a dog walking service you are a lazy owner who doesn’t care to be responsible for their dogs.
I know plenty of people who love and care for their animals and use a service during the day when they are at work or at school. It doesn’t make them a bad owner.
As long as you are happy with your dog walker and you know your dogs are being taken care of and can afford it don’t let a few TDs get you down.
I think dog walking is fine as long as you trust the person. I see nothing wrong with it. Dogs love to walk in packs too, so your dog probably really enjoys it.
I don’t see a problem. Some people just give thumbs down randomly.
It is a very Personal thing to walk your own dog. Part of the bonding experience. Haven’t you ever thought of the fact that someone else is picking up your dogs warm droppings? Do you know what that dose to the mind of an animal?
If I were you, and you don’t have any other way to walk your dog more than 4 or 5 times a day, I would make sure that the person who is walking your dog rotates. In other words there needs to be a different person every day. You should be the only consistant person in the dog’s life. (concerning his droppings , of course) Also, you need to have some of his droppings left in your yard where the dog can see you picking them up instead of a stranger.
Now If you want to be a good master this part will probably cost you a little more… but, the droppings need to be warm or at least look warm. That means they need to be the soft or wet ones. That is an extra charge for your walkers (they generally don’t mind picking up the warm wet poo but there in most likely a transportation premium.).
GOOD LUCK!!
People on here are seriously grumpy and judgmental. I think it’s great that you care enough to spend the money to make sure your dog is taken care of
Watch me get a lot of thumbs down for this one.
Some people apparently think that dogs are a privilege only for people who don’t work. Please…if you work, you are more likely to give concentrated affection to your pet than if you just take it for granted. Some people need to lighten up.
Don`t know where you live but we don`t have many of these services in the UK. I take it you work in the day. If you walk your dog morning and evening and use this service mid-day it proves you are a considerate dog owner, the people giving you the thumbs down are probably
people who don`t walk their dogs at all, ignore the morons. Good on you.
i think you do that right things, at my work we offer doggy daycare for people who d ont want t o leave there dog at home all day. We have regulars that come and play once aweek, It is great for the dog and gives you a bit of a break. Keep up with that dog walker who cares what everyone else says, you know that your dog is safe hands so feel confident that you are dong a good job caring for your dog.
i suppose it all depends on who is walking the dog- i don’t have a problem with them, so long as the dog is familiar with the person, and the person is very trustworthy….
i, however, wouldn’t ever let anyone walk my dogs- they’re junkyard dogs, and it would sort of defeat their purpose if i taught them that it’s ok to let people in the house while i’m away…. plus it would be a HUGE liability for me- i don’t trust anyone to be able to properly handle my pack but my fiancee and myself.
